Enrico Battaglia

I was six years old when I saw a magician for the first time. I can still recall my emotion and how surprised I was for the mystery of magic before me. I remember saying to myself: “When I grow up, I will be a magician”. And that’s exactly what happened.

Nowadays, when I’m on stage – in a theatre or on a street, at clubs or at a party – the emotion of the very first time comes back and I always try to convey it to my audience.

Over the years, I have perfected my technical and communicative skills: I have learnt that an artist does not only communicate his skills but also his way of being, his character, his essence. In one word, his soul.

Since 1983 I have been a member of the Club Magico Italiano, the main national organization for magicians in Italy, and of the Club Illusionisti Emilia Romagna. Since 1995, the art of magic has led to me to perform on prestigious and important stages, for customers such as Ferrari, Telecom, Eni, Enel, Fiat, Lancia, Peg-Perego, Mercatone Uno, Diesel, Consorzio Parmigiano-Reggiano, Festa Nazionale de l’Unità, Lions Club, Ravenna Festival.
Along with my experience as a magician, I have also learnt the skills of presenter and entertainer.

In 2000 I started a close collaboration with the famous multinational McDonald’s: since then, as clown Ronald McDonald, along with other 300 professional artists from all over the world I have brought on stage over 1000 shows, and I was the official mascot at the winter Olympics in Turin in 2006. In 2011 in Lisbon I won the first prize “Best Bits Europe” as best European artist in the world of McDonald’s.

I love magic and I love to spread emotions. Magic is my lifeblood.  As Confucius used to say: “Choose the work you love and you will never work a single day of your life.”

“Everything is magic, or nothing.” (Novalis)
